No more living at ground level. La Chaise Pouf brings you the best of both worlds – a combination of cultures and styles with equal parts comfort, elegance, generosity and softness. This small oriental seat is elevated to new heights on an elegant base while still maintaining its functional aesthetics.
For 14 years, Younes has masterfully re-imagined the traditional armchair by staying true to its ancestral pouf roots. Recently commissioned by a well respected bank in Casablanca, this impressive feat of creativity promises to bring new life into an old favourite.

A+E magazine
« La curiosité de Younes le conduit à questionner l’esthétique arabe au XXI siècle, à coupler les latitudes et les cultures. Le style contemporain de ses créations reflète le vibrant témoignage de la synthèse entre orient et occident, entre tradition et modernité. »
For this intrepid explorer, a walk through the medina of Marrakech means wandering through the workshops of local artisans in search of new experiences.
In 2006, one of Younes’ very first designs was born in the heart of the colourful souk of Jamaa El Fna. With “La Chaise Pouf”, the designer wanted to give back to this small oriental seat its letters of nobility by raising it on a pedestal.
15 years of introspection, exchanges with master craftsmen, questioning and even doubt led to the simplification of the lines of this armchair in order to sublimate this large oriental padded cushion.
This creative journey was presented for the first time during the exhibition “Chronique Du Design – De l’expérimentation artisanale au produit fini” which was held at La Villa Des Arts De Rabat from July 8 to September 29, 2022.
